Aitelier runs on pay-as-you-go billing with a prepaid wallet. You top up, the platform meters every call and bills the outcome. No monthly minimum, no seat counts, no plans to choose between.

The wallet

Every tenant has one wallet. You top it up; the platform draws from it as you use the service.

  • Top up from $20 — preset buttons ($50 / $200 / $500) plus custom amounts. Payment via Stripe — cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay all work cross-platform.
  • No expiry — the balance does not vanish. If you pause for a quarter and come back, your balance is still there.
  • Refundable — unused balance is refundable for 12 months after your last activity. Open a ticket; we send it back to the original payment method.
  • Auto top-up (optional) — set a low-balance threshold and an auto-top-up amount. When your balance crosses the threshold, the platform charges your saved card off-session. Three consecutive failures disable auto top-up and email you.

What you are charged for

The wallet draws against three usage axes:

Per-call outcome charges

Every completed call resolves to one of three outcomes, and you are charged a flat rate per outcome on the tier you selected for that scenario.

  • Success — the agent reached the goal you configured (booking made, lead qualified, etc.)
  • Real conversation — a genuine exchange happened but no goal landed (duration ≥ 30s, ≥ 3 user turns)
  • Spam / silent — sub-30s drops, no user input, or flagged by the spam heuristic

The exact rates per tier (Economy / Standard / Premium) are on the pricing page. On Standard, a typical inbound booking call costs $0.90 if it succeeds, $0.60 if a real conversation happened without booking, $0.10 if it was spam.

Overage minutes apply only when a scenario raises its duration cap above the default 5 minutes — and only beyond that 5-minute mark. Most scenarios stay under the cap; overage is rare.

Knowledge crawler charges

When the platform indexes a large website for your agent's knowledge base, crawls beyond 100 pages bill at $1.00 per crawler-hour, flat across tiers. Small crawls are free. Re-crawls are incremental — usually minutes, not hours.

Text chat charges

If your project handles web-widget or SMS conversations as well as voice, those meter input and output tokens — $0.50 per million input tokens, $1.50 per million output tokens. Aggregated and charged hourly per project, not per turn.

Sandbox mode

New projects start in sandbox mode by default. In sandbox:

  • Every charge is simulated (the wallet does not actually move)
  • All charges are clearly marked is_simulated in the billing history
  • The dashboard shows the would-be cost so you can plan
  • You can flip out of sandbox in one click when you are ready to go live

Sandbox is unlimited in time — develop and test at your own pace. We only start drawing from the wallet when you switch to live.

Postpay (on request)

If your team prefers monthly invoicing over a prepaid wallet, switch to postpay:

  • We send a monthly invoice from our Wyoming-registered LLC
  • Net-30 payment terms via Stripe Invoice
  • Credit limit configured per tenant — calls block when you exceed it
  • Same per-outcome pricing as prepaid; the invoice just consolidates the month

Reading the bill

The Billing tab shows:

  • Balance & top-up — current balance, manual top-up, saved cards
  • Auto top-up — toggle, threshold, amount, status
  • History — every wallet movement (top-up, call charge, crawler, chat, adjustment)
  • Invoices — top-up receipts (instant) and postpay invoices (monthly), PDF download for each
  • Per-project usage — calls by outcome × tier, overage minutes, crawler hours, chat tokens; 30-day trend chart

What you do not see in the billing UI: provider names, raw COGS, our margin. Those are platform-internal — your view is the customer-facing one.

Volume customers and agencies

If you run a multi-project deployment (an agency operating agents for many clients), you can request a tenant-specific rate card at a discount. The pricing page rate card is the default; volume customers get a custom one.

Taxes and invoicing

All listed prices are in USD and exclusive of taxes. Where applicable (VAT in the EU, sales tax in some US states), the invoice includes the tax line — you provide your VAT/Tax ID in the Billing → Settings tab and the platform applies the right treatment automatically.

Postpaid invoices come from ASAP Research Laboratories LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company, registered office at 1603 Capitol Avenue, Suite 413A, 2584, Cheyenne, WY 82001. The issuer block is on every invoice PDF.

Receipts and audit

Every top-up generates an instant topup_receipt PDF you can download from the History tab. Every postpaid period generates a postpay_period invoice PDF when the month closes.

If you are audited and need a structured export of usage and charges, contact billing@aitelier.org — we provide a signed CSV for the period requested, normally within 24 hours.
